There is a total of 48 Driving School Challenges – the first tier of 24 is aimed towards beginners, while the second tier focuses on intermediate driving maneuvers. You have to finish a Challenge with Bronze or better to unlock the next one. After each eighth Challenge, you will be rewarded with a prize car as a bonus.
As mentioned, the first set of Challenges features basics like accelerating and stopping, overtaking and some easier turns.
The second tier features some more advanced maneuvers like hairpin-turns and handling at higher speeds. Sometimes you have to handle extra conditions like worn-down tires, which makes controlling your car way harder.
